Sygensys is a start-up developing monitoring and control systems for electricity grid management and energy storage system solutions to allow effective use of renewable energy sources.
We have a vacancy for a senior systems engineer to join our small expanding team. You will play a leading role in the software development activity within the company.
The successful candidate will be expected to have proven ability across the software engineering lifecycle with a good knowledge of system and architecture design, modelling and development using MATLAB and Simulink. You should have an openness to learning new skills, concepts, and approaches and have excellent communication skills.
Essential Skills
- Strong skills using MATLAB/Simulink.
- Experience in signal processing and control system algorithm development.
- Experience using MATLAB/Simulink auto code generation tools.
Desirable
- Experience setting up MATLAB/Simulink hardware in the loop testing frameworks.
- Experience in embedded C/C++ development for real time systems
- Knowledge of Power Systems and/or Power Converters
- Proven track record of on-time and high-quality project delivery.
- Experience working in both start-up environments as well as larger technical organizations
Location:
Harwell Science and Innovation Campus Oxford.
You will have the choice of full time onsite or hybrid working
Working hours:
Full time
Salary:
£50k to £70k per year depending on skills and experience.
